Margiela, my first addiction

Pull en laine, Gap, veste Zara Woman, tregging American Apparel, broche fleur H&M, lunettes Chanel, colliers H&M et vintage, bottes Maison Martin Margiela //  Wool sweater by Gap, tuxedo jacket by Zara Woman, American Apparel tregging, H&M brooche, Chanel eyeglasses, H&M and vintage necklaces, Maison Martin Margiela boots.

I discovered the Margiela universe not so long ago. I had heard about him a lot, but never actually seen his collections on fashion magazines like Vogue or L’Officiel. And then, one day I saw the pictures of Rachel Bilson with a pair of cream boots by Maison Martin Margiela, how beautiful! But, obviously, out of my reach. Later on, on Jane Aldridge’s blog (Sea of Shoes) I saw all kinds of them, in different styles and colors. I hated her! But, still, out of my reach. I would have never thought of buying a pair. And then, there was that day. That day when, while waiting for a friend, I entered a de-stock store. I wasn’t looking for anything in particular, just spending time. When, all of a sudden, I saw this pair of black boots, very long ones, just magnificent! I said to myself, I have to try them. And then I tried them: how confortable, how beautiful, it was incredible that a simple pair of boots could embellish a silhouette that much! But, when I saw the prize, it was absolutely clear that I wouldn’t buy them. I put them back at their place, sadly. At that moment, the saleswoman approached me, and asked: “They didn't fit you properly?” And I answered right away: “Yes, indeed, they were perfect. But I don’t have that kind of money. They’re too expensive for me”. That’s it, the blues, oh yeah, I’m poor, even if I don’t seem to be! And then, a universe that opens: “But, you know, you can pay them in several times”. Vive la credit society! So, it was useless for me to try to resist, temptation was too strong, and I said to myself, well, the shopping budget that you spend every month, you won’t spend it anymore. Haha, yeah, sure. (I don’t regret a thing). On the other hand, I had to step out of the store running. Because my boots weren’t the only ones. There were also these ankle boots with a metal heel, this fluorescent yellow with grey/green paint spots ballerinas, this high heeled shoes with a nail heel, and I could buy EVERYTHING and pay later! During a whole week I seriously thought about it. Did I really want to buy all those shoes? Did I actually need them? No, but they are beautifullllllllllll!!!
Conclusion: I had enough with one pair for the next four months to come! Credit is a dangerous ground that can easily take us on the road to ruin…
