Fue un fin largo, así que tuvimos tiempo de visitar a nuestras amigas Cynthia y su Chihuahua súper cool, Perry. Ésta fue una sesión improvisada, así que disculpen nuestro amateurismo...

H&M in Mexico...finally!

La tan esperada apertura de la primera tienda H&M en México fue el pasado jueves primero de noviembre, y debo confesar que me sorprendió el número de gente haciendo cola para poder visitarla. Después de 40 minutos de espera ¡por fin pudimos entrar! Y confirmé lo que tanto extrañaba de comprar en la insignia sueca: precios asequibles, muy buenos diseños y calidad aceptable.
Y qué mejor embajadora para la colección Otoño/Invierno 2012-2013 que la ícono de estilo Lana del Rey. Me enamoré del suéter en angora rosa palo y la falda de plumas blanca, entre otras cositas que pronto les mostraré. Además de todo, me llevé la gran sorpresa de un 20% de descuento en cajas por pagar con mi tarjeta de crédito. Un día de shopping con saldo favorable, pero no me excedí porque todavía viene lo mejor: la colaboración de H&M con mi casa de moda favorita, Maison Martin Margiela. Sabrán más de ésta en mi próximo post...

Shoemint, the new fashion project by Rachel Bilson and Nicole Chavez

Descubrí hace poco gracias a The Coveteur la nueva línea de zapatos de Rachel Bilson creada en colaboración con su estilista Nicole Chavez. Los zapatos son de muy buena calidad y a precios asequibles (alrededor de 70 dólares el par, que es un precio aceptable tomando en cuenta que son diseños únicos y de calidad). Chequen su sitio, les encantará (por el momento no hay envíos hacia México, pero quizás pronto sea posible!) Las fotos son de los tres modelos que más me gustaron!

I recently discovered via The Coveteur the new shoe line created by Rachel Bilson and her stylist Nicole Chavez. The shoes are amazingly good quality and very affordable (around 70 dollars which is great considering the good design and product quality). Go check out their web site (it doesn't ship to Mexico but maybe they will soon). The pictures are from the three models I liked the best!

Amo las letras de los Rolling Stones, pero mi favorita es "You can't always get what you want", probablemente porque me recuerda una de las grandes ironías de la vida. Vivimos obsesionados por lo que no podemos tener, pero, a final de cuentas, cuando analizamos mejor lo que tenemos, nos damos cuenta de la suerte que tenemos. Todo esto me vino a la mente cuando pienso en mi obsesión con el bolso Céline Luggage, uno de mis it bags favoritos. Pues siempre pensé que mi primer gran "investment piece" sería él, pero finalmente tuve la oportunidad de comprar el Chloé Paraty que estaba milagrosamente en rebaja y estoy absolumente enamorada de él...a veces el destino elige por nosotros...Pero ese obscuro objeto del deseo siempre sigue en nuestra mente...   // I love all of the lyrics by the Rolling Stones, but "You can't always get what you want" is definitely my favorite, probably because it reminds me of one of the greatest ironies in life. We live obsessed by what we can't have, but in the end, when we give a closer look to what we do have, sometimes we realize that we're actually lucky since what we have it's not bad either... All this comes to mind when I think about my obsession with the Céline's Luggage bag, one of my favorite it bags. Well, I always thought that my first big investment piece would be it, but guess what? I had the chance to buy the Chloé Paraty miraculously on sale and I'm absolutely in love with it...sometimes we don't get to choose, life chooses for us...Nevertheless, that obscure object of desire always stays in our minds...

I wanted to inaugurate my "A Girl, A Style" section with my new partner in Sweet & Tender: my sister Lore. She is definitely the one that has influenced me the most in every aspect, but especially in my personal style. She was the one that got me to read the Spanish version of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle & company when I had just started reading. She shared with me her passion for fashion, art, cinema and politics, and by doing so made me become a bit of an outsider...but I thank her for everything that she has taught me, and for becoming an inspiration through her courage to follow her dreams and for always wanting to be a better person. Lore, I'm your fan! // Quise inaugurar mi sección "Una chica, un estilo" con my nueva socia en Sweet & Tender: mi hermana Lore. Ella ha sido la persona que más me ha influenciado en todos los aspectos, pero muy especialmente en la construcción de mi estilo personal. Ella fue quien me puso a leer la Vogue España, la Harper's Bazaar, Elle y compañía cuando apenas empezaba a leer.
