I Heart Oaxaca (part two)

I decided to dedicate an special post to the small town of San Agustín, near Oaxaca city. I spent one of the most pleasant experience on this place, especially at the Centro de las Artes de San Agustín. This magical place used to provide the city with water, and now it has become one of the most interesting art galleries.

High in the mountains...you can breathe clean air. I'm wearing an H&M jumpsuit, Massimo Dutti necklaces and shoes, Purificación García purse.

There was this exposition of a French Collective, the posters were genius.

This exposition was particularly amazing. It's called 2501 Migrantes, it stands for the hundreds of Mexican migrants crossing the border for the USA looking for a better future. See an article on this site:http://artculture.com/mexican-contemporary-art/2501-migrantes

Hope you liked the pictures, and don't forget to visit this amazing town!

I (heart) Oaxaca

Here are the first snapshots from my family vacations to Oaxaca, you'll soon have some more...

My favorite church in Oaxaca (Santo Domingo), with my beloved sisters

I loved the colour of this colonial home, now turned into a clothing store. I'm wearing a Chicks on Speed for H&M Fashion Against Aids t-shirt, Oysho skirt, Zara shoes.

Buying artisanies at a local store (here I found my little seal, ain't she lovely?)

My sister Lorena (soon I'll make an entier post on her), wearing a Zara dress Massimo Dutti necklace and LV bag.

At dusk on the central Plaza...

Eating at the traditional "Caldo de Piedra" (Stone Soup). I'm wearing a Massimo Dutti linen marinière, Etam denim vest, Gap spartiates, Ray Ban sunglasses, Massimo Dutti panama and leather handbag.

The traditional preparation as they did in ancient times...

Mmmm, delicious!

It took me a while to get the pictures from my last vacations to Oaxaca, but here they are, at last. I don't know if you ever had the occasion to visit this amazing city, but it you haven't, it's definitely one of the most beautiful colonial cities in America. The traditional cooking and the craft industry remain the same than it was centuries ago. The architecture, the people and the climate are also amazing. A perfect place for summer vacations... here are some snapshots, enjoy!

Some Girls Got Style...

Kate Moss...(does she need to be introduced?)

Erin Wasson (top model, muse for Alexander Wang and stylist for RVCA)

Dree Hemingway (top model and grand-daughter of writer Ernest Hemingway)

Chlöe Sevigny (actress, fashion icon)

Alexa Chung (top model, tv presenter)

I know, it's rather easy to look stylish if you're beautiful and rich, but still, I do believe that true elegance and a unique style goes beyond that. Very few, actually, of the so-called celebrities, have a true personal style when it comes to fashion. And it's not only about having a 10,000 dollar bag or shoes. For me, when it comes to fashion, what I admire the most is 1)creativity, 2)elegance and 3)courage and, when it all works out, perfection. You have to find your own style, and you have to make it work with your personality and all without being too classic or too eccentric. And very few manage to achieve this. Here are some of the girls that I admire for their personal style. Some are already fashion icons, some are on their way...

You Were A Child...

I found this old drawings that I did when I was about 14... it's funny because I realize how fast fashion changes...very few of them do I still find trendy..anyway this is were I started...

Black & Gold

I've always had a rather classic taste on accesories, which for me meant "black". And I guess it's been a rather wise choice until now...but when I saw this gold & python marc by marc jacobs bag I had to change some of my philosophy in accesorizing....guess it'll be the exception to the rule...

Taylor Momsen for Teen Vogue

I just bought the Teen Vogue's September Issue, featuring Taylor Momsen on the cover.
The pictures are great, but some of the best shots weren't on the printed version. Go check out at the Teen Vogue Web Site for the backstage pics, you will absolutely love them!

I love this denim vest, I just customized the same one from an old Zara denim jacket, I'll post some pictures later on...

This is the first time...

Hi, everyone, welcome to Lily P's blog. Here you'll find all you need to know about the newest trends, fashion spots, where to buy and when to buy it, all my advice about beauty and style, and a lot of pictures!

Being a fashion lover since I was a kid, I decided to open this new place to show my views on fashion, to have fun and meet people with the same interests and a passion for fashion. I hope that soon I'll get in touch with readers and people who feel the same way about fashion, art, cinema and literature. In my opinion, all of this different things have an important connection between them.

Hope you will enjoy it, any suggestions are welcome!
